Unit Specializes in: 2 West is a 25 telemetry bed unit. It also includes surgical services such as neurology, Oral & Maxillofacial, Gynecological, and trauma care. The team comprises Registered Nurses (RN’s) and Patient Care Associates (PCA’s) trained in orthopedic care and surgery. EKG trained.

DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is DMC’s largest hospital, offering comprehensive services including heart care, cancer care, emergency medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, and cosmetic services. Sinai-Grace features a minimally invasive joint replacement program and operates over 21 outpatient care sites and ambulatory surgery centers across Wayne and Oakland Counties. It is one of 10 hospitals nationally awarded a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant for cardiac care standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The DMC RN is part of the Patient Care Services Team, responsible for nursing care management, patient activities, and collaboration with healthcare team members. The role involves leadership, partnership, teaching, and supervision.

The DMC RN:

• Establishes collaborative relationships with physicians and healthcare providers
• Delegates, assesses, and evaluates patient care
• Prepares patients for discharge and monitors progress
• Reports to senior management and participates in decision-making

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school required
• BSN preferred
• Licensed as an RN in Michigan required
• American Heart Association BLS required
