Job summary

George Washington University Hospital is seeking an RN-Transfer Coordinator to lead the Transfer Center, coordinating patient transfers and promoting care continuity. You will collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer and Medical Director to optimize processes and staff proficiency in transferee care.

Responsibilities include developing interdisciplinary strategies for a coordinated transfer program, ensuring high-quality patient experiences, and maintaining compliance with transfer

Qualifications

  • BSN required; Master’s preferred.
  • 3 years nursing experience in critical care or trauma care setting.
  • CCRN preferred.
  • Knowledge of EMTALA and transfer regulations.

  • Develops, coordinates, enhances and executes the Transfer Center program.
  • Promotes staff proficiency in the care of transferred patients.
  • Assists with development and implements interdisciplinary strategies for providing a coordinated care program for transferred patients.
