Job summary

George Washington University Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking an RN-Transfer Coordinator to develop, coordinate, and optimize the Transfer Center program in a high-acuity setting in downtown Washington, DC.

You will promote staff proficiency in transferred patient care while collaborating with the COO and Medical Director to implement interdisciplinary strategies for coordinated care.

Qualifications

  • BSN is required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years nursing experience in critical care or trauma.
  • CCR N certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of EMTALA and transfer regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, enhance and execute the Transfer Center program.
  • Promote staff proficiency in the care of transferred patients.
  • Assist with development and implements interdisciplinary strategies for coordinated care.
  • Collaborate with leadership for program outcomes and patient flow.

Position Summary

In collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer and the Transfer Center Medical Director, the RN-Transfer Coordinator develops, coordinates, enhances and executes the Transfer Center program.Promotes staff proficiency in the care of transferred patients. Assists with development and implements interdisciplinary strategies for providing a coordinated care program for transferred patients.

Qualifications
Education/Qualification
  • BSN Required; Master's preferred
  • 3 years nursing experience in critical care or trauma care setting
