Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois is seeking an RN Nurse Trainer supervisor to ensure compliance with regulatory rules at all sites and to lead RN Trainer development. You will supervise, train, and support nursing staff while monitoring health status of residents and medication safety.

The role involves reviewing QA for medication errors, auditing sites for rule compliance, and updating policies with DHS/DDD.

Essential Functions:

• Provide supervision and training to RN Nurse Trainers on Rule 115 and 116.

Position Qualifications:

• Unencumbered Illinois Professional Registered Nurse license required.
• Background check clearance required.
• Unencumbered Illinois Professional Registered Nurse license required.
• Minimum of one (1) year clinical professional experience within the past five (5) years required.
• Ability to become and RN Nurse Trainer through DDD required.
• Experience working with individuals with development disabilities preferred.
• Experience providing leadership and training to nursing and direct care personnel preferred.
• Participation in ongoing learning opportunities to keep skills current required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, verbally and written.
• Excellent organization sills and basic pc/computer skills, including experience using.
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software required.
• Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
• Access to reliable transportation required.
• Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damagerequired.
