Job summary

HealthNet is seeking a Registered Nurse Team Lead to coordinate nursing and interdisciplinary teams at our Health Center in Indianapolis. The role provides on-site management and clinical support, ensuring policy and procedures are followed and staffing needs are met.

Qualifications include RN licensure in Indiana, BLS, and prior nursing supervision experience. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered for new hires, with comprehensive benefits and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Current RN licensure in Indiana is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department policies.
• Knowledge of Nursing and Patient Care Services policies and procedures.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate clinical assessments.
• Provide on-site supervision of Nursing/PCA staff to facilitate operations at the clinical site(s).
• Assist units/staff with obtaining equipment, medications, and supplies as needed.
• Evaluate staffing plans for the assigned clinical site(s).
• Assist charge nurses with clinical assessments as needed.
• Evaluate and decide on staffing plans and schedules.
• Communicate and problem solve with the Manager or Clinical Services as needed.
• Apply at least one health literacy method when communicating with patients/clients.

What you’ll do as a Registered Nurse Team Lead at HealthNet:

The Registered Nurse Team Lead position coordinates the nursing and interdisciplinary team for daily care assignments and operations of HealthNet's Health Centers. This position exists to provide on-site management and clinical support to staff and to communicate policy and procedure changes.

• Conduct accurate clinical assessments.
• Provide on-site supervision of Nursing/PCA staff to facilitate operations for the assigned clinical site(s).
• Assist all units/staff with problem-solving to obtain necessary equipment, medications, and supplies on an as needed basis.
• Evaluate staffing plans for the assigned clinical site(s).
• Assist charge nurses with clinical assessments as needed.
• Evaluate/make decisions about staffing plans and schedules.
• Communicate and problem solve with the Manager or Clinical Services as needed.
• Apply a minimum of one health literacy method when communicating with patients/clients.

• Potential schedule includes Monday/Tuesday 8am-8pm, Thursday 9am-5pm, Wednesday/Friday 8am-5pm

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift, push, and/or pull equipment, light to moderately heavy weight up to 20-30 pounds is a necessary function of this position.
• Able to perform duties during periods of varied and/or prolonged work hours.
• Will be exposed to all patient elements.
• Must be able to read, write, hear, and communicate effectively in the English language by both orally and written.
