Job summary

HealthNet is seeking a Registered Nurse Team Lead to coordinate the nursing and interdisciplinary team for daily care assignments and operations at HealthNet's Health Centers. This role provides on-site management and clinical support and communicates policy and procedure changes.

The position requires Indiana RN licensure, a nursing degree, and BLS (ACLS as needed). Full-time with a schedule that may include evenings and Saturdays; HealthNet offers competitive benefits and a $1,000 sign-on

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Requires current licensure as an RN in Indiana.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS may be required per unit.
• Knowledge of Nursing and Patient Care Services policies and procedures.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the nursing and interdisciplinary team for daily care assignments and operations.
• Provide on-site supervision of Nursing/PCA staff to facilitate operations at the clinical site(s).
• Assist units with problem-solving to obtain equipment, medications, and supplies as needed.
• Evaluate staffing plans for the assigned clinical site(s).
• Assist charge nurses with clinical assessments as needed and evaluate staffing schedules.

What you’ll do as a Registered Nurse Team Lead at HealthNet:

The Registered Nurse Team Lead position coordinates the nursing and interdisciplinary team for daily care assignments and operations of HealthNet's Health Centers. This position exists to provide on-site management and clinical support to staff and to communicate policy and procedure changes.

• Conduct accurate clinical assessments.
• Provide on-site supervision of Nursing/PCA staff to facilitate operations for the assigned clinical site(s).
• Assist all units/staff with problem-solving to obtain necessary equipment, medications, and supplies on an as needed basis.
• Evaluate staffing plans for the assigned clinical site(s).
• Assist charge nurses with clinical assessments as needed.
• Evaluate/make decisions about staffing plans and schedules.
• Communicate and problem solve with the Manager or Clinical Services as needed.
• Apply a minimum of one health literacy method when communicating with patients/clients.

When you’ll work as a Registered Nurse Team Lead at HealthNet:

• Full-Time
• Potential schedule includes Monday-Friday 8-5, with rotation of evening and Saturday shifts.
• Health centers are open until 8pm and closed on Sundays.

What you’ll need as a Registered Nurse Team Lead at HealthNet:

• Currently not sponsoring work visa.
• Requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Requires current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Requires knowledge of policies, and procedures of Nursing and Patient Care Services.
• Reliable transportation required.

SET YOURSELF APART:

• Several years of previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Outpatient experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to be involved in degrees of prolonged standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, and stooping; as well as abilities of repeated bending, stooping, and squatting.
• Able to lift, push, and/or pull equipment, light to moderately heavy weight up to 20-30 pounds is a necessary function of this position.
• Able to perform duties during periods of varied and/or prolonged work hours.
• Will be exposed to all patient elements.
• Must be able to read, write, hear, and communicate effectively in the English language by both orally and written.
