ChristianaCare's Surgical Critical Care Unit (SCCC) at the Christiana and Wilmington campuses provides care for surgical and trauma patients in a Level I center. The team delivers multidisciplinary, high-acuity nursing with Magnet-recognized leadership and a commitment to excellence.

BSN is required or must be pursued within three years of hire; 1–2 years of stepdown and critical care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN or commitment to obtaining within three years of hire
• Minimum 1–2 years stepdown experience
• Critical Care experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide care for surgical/trauma ICU patients

Registered Nurse - Surgical/Trauma ICU

ChristianaCare's Christiana and Wilmington hospitals have received their third Magnet designation for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the pre-eminent recognition for hospital systems in the United States! We operate the only Level I Trauma Center between Philadelphia and Baltimore.

The Surgical Critical Care Complex (SCCC) is a 22 bed Surgical / Trauma Intensive Care Unit. We have a cohesive Nursing Team who serves patients with a multidisciplinary approach. The Nurses on this unit work with neurosurgical, general surgical and adult/pediatric trauma patients.

Hours: This is a Day/Midnight rotating schedule of 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. Weekend and Holiday schedule is per departmental & organizational practices.

Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 - $67.37 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
