Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to protect, promote and restore health in a 24/7 hospital inpatient/ED setting. You will collaborate with providers and a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care across the continuum and support patients and families.

Requires active RN licensure in Illinois or Michigan, AHA BLS, and preferably a BSN. Proficiency with EMR and MS Office is expected; Night and weekend differentials apply as part of the hourly pay structure.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in IL or MI.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• BSN preferred.
• RN experience in a healthcare setting.
• EMR and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide care coordination across the continuum.
• Assess physical symptoms and provide psychological support to patients and families.
• Mentor assigned team members and uphold professional disposition.
• Work in 24/7 hospital inpatient/ED units with the care team.

Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position. This position includes a night shift differential of $4.00/hr, and a weekend differential of $3.25/hr.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Qualifications

• License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN
• Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
• Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
