Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgery Center Pre/Post 0.9 FTE.

The role supports ophthalmology, ortho, and plastics services with emphasis on safe, patient‑centered perioperative care. The ideal candidate has completion of an accredited nursing program, an active RN license in Wisconsin, BLS certification, and at least one year of procedural care experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
• Circulator role includes - time outs, positioning of patient, maintains sterile and safe environment, prepares the OR with necessary supplies, checks for inventory, and documents all aspects of the procedure.

Where You Will Work

Milwaukee, WI, United States

Centrally located in the south side of Milwaukee

• 18 Pre/Post Unit. covering bay - 4 Operating rooms -
• Come work for a Surgery Center that is hospital based - higher pay rate than stand alone surgery centers
• call rotation to cover Ophthalmology emergent cases

Surgery Center services : ophthalmology, ortho, and plastics

We’re Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• One year experience - and or procedural care
