Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospitals - Surgery Center is seeking a compassionate RN to join the PACU/Pre-op Unit, covering pre-op and recovery. This full-time, 1.0 FTE position runs Monday through Thursday.

You will direct nursing care, manage admissions/discharges, and oversee medications and supplies while maintaining patient safety and documentation standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous PACU, critical care or emergency room experience strongly preferred
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Idaho
  • BSN preferred
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • ACLS certification within six months of employment
  • PALS certification within six months of employment
  • Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others
  • Aware of professional nursing standards and performs by them

Responsibilities

  • Direct and provide professional nursing care in the Surgery Center's PACU/Pre-Op Unit (pre-op and recovery)
  • Coordinate admissions and discharges and oversee patient flow
  • Delegate nursing assignments and prepare schedules

Northwest Specialty Hospitals - Surgery Center Pre-op/PACU Unit RN

Northwest Specialty Hospitals - Surgery Center Pre-op/PACU Unit is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused RN to join the team!

This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position! Monday - Thursday!

In this fast-paced role, you will direct and provide professional nursing care in our Surgery Center's PACU/Pre-Op Unit. In this unit, you will be expected to work both pre-op and recovery. The typical patient-to-nurse ratio is 2:1, but it can vary based on department needs. You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care. Individuals in this role perform such duties as delegating nursing assignments, preparing schedules, overseeing admissions and discharges, and monitoring and ordering medicines and supplies.

Qualifications And Preferred Experience
  • Previous PACU, critical care or emergency room experience strongly preferred
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Idaho
  • BSN preferred
