Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY is hiring an RN to provide bedside care, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with the care team.

You will monitor patient conditions, assist with activities of daily living, coordinate transfers, and educate patients and families. A strong commitment to safety and quality is required.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Coordinates transfers, discharges and referrals with the care team.
• Provides education to patients and families tailored to age and condition.
• Advocates for patients' physical and emotional well-being.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular attendance and flexibility across shifts/units.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and families; provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned

What we're looking for
