Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgery unit. The role involves in-person care in the Operating Room, with requirements for current nursing licensure and perioperative certifications.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, nursing interventions, documentation, and collaborative care planning. BLS within 30 days and ACLS/PALS within six months are required. Prior OR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

More About Our Team

The main Operating Room features seven fully equipped procedure rooms, each staffed with one circulator and two surgical technologists per room. Nurses working in this unit are required to maintain current certifications in PALS, BLS, and ACLS.

How You'll Contribute

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs

What We're Looking For

• Current state RN license
• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
