Job summary

Lifepoint Health® is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in the Surgery department at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia. This full-time position requires daytime hours and involves performing patient assessments, initiating nursing interventions, and providing appropriate nursing care.

The ideal candidate must hold a current RN license and have either an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. The position also requires BLS certification within 30 days of hire, with ACLS and PALS certifications preferred shortly after.

Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery at Raleigh General Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health. This is a full-time, in-person role with daytime hours.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

Qualifications

• Current state RN license
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
