Live the Mission Weekend Supervisor Position Summary
The RN Supervisor is responsible for coordinating patient care and services, promoting quality care through a collaborative process that monitors and evaluates services based on patient needs. Works with patients and families in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
- Current licensure/registration in the applicable state. Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.
- At least two (2) years of nursing experience; geriatric nursing experience preferred. Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain it during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

- Knowledge of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing post-acute care facilities
- Ability to implement and interpret department programs, goals, policies, and procedures
- Proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation
- Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, vendors, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information
- Follow company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures
- Display integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completing mandatory compliance training
Essential Functions
- Manage and coordinate patient care to help patients attain or maintain optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
- Evaluate the quality of patient care daily
- Supervise licensed staff and CNAs in prioritizing patient care needs and reporting requirements
- Assess patient needs and develop care plans
- Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude
- Assist in patient evacuation procedures
- Maintain dependable, regular attendance
- Use reasoning skills and good judgment
- Communicate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- Perform physical activities as needed during work hours
- Read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently
