Job summary

Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kingston, NY is seeking a compassionate RN Supervisor to support the Director of Nursing and coordinate daily nursing operations. This PRN role focuses on resident care planning, staff oversight, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a 5-star CMS facility.

The position requires an RN degree, two years in long-term care, and at least one year supervising nursing staff. CPR certification and licensure requirements must be met.

Qualifications

• Must hold a nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum two years in long-term care, geriatrics, or restorative settings.
• One year of nursing supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned.
• Ensures compliance with current applicable federal, state and local regulations and facility policies and procedures.
• Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by staff. Makes appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required or as necessary.
• Ensures an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is always maintained on the unit to adequately meet the needs.
• Assists in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident.
• Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated.
• Encourages staff to attend and participate in outside training programs and schedules times as appropriate.

The Registered Nurse Supervisor Assists the Director of Nursing; plans, develops, organizes and coordinates day-to-day functions of the nursing department.

Major Duties

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned.

• Ensures compliance with current applicable federal, state and local regulations and facility policies and procedures.

• Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by staff. Makes appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required or as necessary.

• Ensures an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is always maintained on the unit to adequately meet the needs of the resident and notifies appropriate personnel of needs.

• Assists in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident.

Experience:

• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing direct care in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings as an

• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a nursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home setting

• Current CPR Certification.

• Must also meet state requirements for relevant licensures or certifications and have no disciplinary action in effect against professional license.
