Job summary

Frisco Medical Center Llp is seeking a Registered Nurse to plan, direct, and coordinate nursing care for post-surgical patients. The RN will ensure high-quality, safe patient care and compliance with JCAHO and federal/state standards.

Responsibilities include responding to patient needs and performing Medical Screening Exams as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee. Ideal candidates have a Texas RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS or an education plan, with at least 3 years of hospital

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• At least 3 years RN hospital experience (Surgical/Medical or ICU).
• RN licensed in Texas (Texas RN).
• BLS certification.
• ACLS or PALS or in-education plan.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient/unit needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job description

The RN is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and implementing all nursing care services for post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He/she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care and maintains compliance with professional nursing JCAHO and all Federal and State standards of care. The RN cares for all ages from 1 month to geriatric. This position is assigned to respond to patients presenting to the facility with a healthcare need and provide the Medical Screening Exam as delegated by the Medical Executive Committee.

Position Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• At least 3 years of experience as an RN in a hospital, Medical/Surgery, or ICU unit.
• RN, current in the State of Texas
• BLS
• ACLS, PALS, or an in-education plan
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
