Hillsboro Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within our Medical Progressive Care Unit. This role focuses on acutely ill patients with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio, offering a chance to develop a broader nursing skill set and encounter diverse cases.

The position requires ADN, Oregon RN license, BLS, ACLS within 3 months, and acute care experience. Relocation assistance is available and a competitive benefits package is provided.

• Provides compassionate care for patients during challenging periods or transitions in life or lifecycles with respect and dignity.

Relocation Assistance available up to $15,000

Pay range: $49.34/hr - $74.08/hr plus $6.00/hr night shift differential

About The Department

• The Medical Progressive Care Unit is a 15-bed unit with a 1:3 Nurse to Patient ratio
• With this focus on patient centered care, you will have more bandwidth to provide a holistic care approach
• In our unit, you'll develop a broader nursing skill set and encounter a wider variety of cases compared to other units
• Our patient demographic is highly mixed and diverse

The Registered Nurse for PCU ensures the delivery of quality nursing care for acutely ill patients in accordance with age-related and individual needs, physician’s orders, hospital policy, standards of care and nursing practice. Responsible for assessing the needs of patients, planning nursing care to meet those needs, and ensuring that the plan of care is carried out and documented according to the principles defined in the nursing process. Participates in the development of progressive care unit goals.
