Department Details

The Intermediate Care Unit is a 16‑bed specialty unit designed for patients who need frequent

monitoring and advanced interventions but do not require the intensity of critical care. Our

team cares for patients recovering from Trans-femoral Aortic Valve Replacements (TAVR),

post‑operative surgeries, and acute but stable STEMIs and Non-STEMIs. We also manage

patients with secured airways on ventilators, low‑dose vasopressors, and those recovering from

strokes, traumatic injuries, or detoxification. The IMC bridges the gap between intensive care

and general medical‑surgical units, offering a safe and supportive environment for patients with

complex medical needs as they continue their recovery.
