Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND, is seeking a compassionate registered nurse (RN) for part-time, 12-hour day shifts. You will use ultrasound guidance to place peripheral IVs, midlines, and PICCs at the bedside and collaborate with medical teams to optimize patient outcomes.

We value strong communication, adaptability, and time management as you provide care across preventive services, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (AACN/ACEN/NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the practicing state or multistate licensure (NLC).
• Maintains department-specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage and various nursing interventions.
• Collaborates with physicians to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up along the continuum of care.
• Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise.

Department Details

Utilize ultrasound guidance to place peripheral IVs, midlines, and PICCs at patients bedside. Collaborate with primary nursing and providers to determine what type of line is best for patient outcomes. Work closely along side Infection Prevention to improve quality outcomes.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.

Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
