University Hospitals Pain Management's UH Lake West Step Down Unit is a fast-paced 30-bed unit delivering age-specific nursing care to stable but critically ill patients. Join a team working in private and semi-private rooms across three pods, and learn more about the unit and Nurse Leader as you contribute to safe, efficient care.

You will implement the nursing process, apply technical skills, and collaborate to optimize patient care and outcomes.

A Brief Overview

The UH Lake West Step Down Unit is a fast paced 30 bed unit that specializes in providing care to stable but critically ill patients of varying acuity. This unit is comprised of both private and semi-private rooms which are broken down into three Pods.

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
