Job summary

Baxter Health in Mountain Home, AR is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) staff member for the Cardiopulmonary Procedures area. This PRN position supports day shifts and requires a licensed nurse to manage patient care in the Cardiac Lab.

Qualifications

• Education: ADN required, BSN preferred.
• Licensure: Arkansas or Compact State RN license in good standing.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in acute care is preferred.
• Certifications: BLS required. ACLS must be completed within six months of date of hire or transfer date. Moderate Sedation training must be completed within 30 days of date of hire or transfer date. Basic arrhythmia course must be completed within one year from date of hire or transfer date. Basic computer skills required.

SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional nurse who is responsible and accountable for the patient care of all patients receiving care, treatment, and/or diagnostic services from the Cardiac Lab. RN’s are responsible for the management of patients, supplies, and equipment and promoting a positive team effort among personnel, physicians and other departments. They will also be accountable for adhering to all standards of nursing care and support the vision, mission, values, and standards of the hospital.

BAXTER HEALTH COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards as they appear in Dynamic Health and Healthstream Policy Manager.

Required to work with the Director of Cardiopulmonary regularly to carryout, initiate and/or implement best practices for the Baxter Health Cardiopulmonary Department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. ADN required, BSN preferred.

Licensure: Current Arkansas or Compact State RN license in good standing

Experience: 2 years of experience in acute care is preferred

Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. May be subject to inside environmental conditions, hazards (including electrical currents and exposure to high heat and chemicals) and infectious diseases.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Holidays and work during inclement weather will be required.
