Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Hospital Inpatient/ED team in Peoria, IL. The RN will collaborate with providers and care teams to deliver high-quality patient care in a 24/7 hospital setting.

Responsibilities include coordination of care, symptom assessment, and psychological support for patients and families, while mentoring teammates and maintaining professional standards. BSN preferred; IL or MI license required.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure in Illinois or Michigan.
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS certification.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and general MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across inpatient and emergency department settings in a 24/7 hospital environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across the continuum.
• Assess symptoms, provide physical and psychological support to patients and families.
• Mentor and support assigned care team members; uphold professional conduct.

Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Stackable Pay Incentives

• Night Shift Differential: +$4.00/hour
• Weekend Differential: +$3.25/hour

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: BSN
• Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
• Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
