Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for inpatient hospital and emergency department care in Illinois. You will collaborate with providers and the care team to coordinate patient care across the continuum, assess symptoms, provide comfort, and maintain professional standards 24/7.

Required: active RN licensure in Illinois (or Michigan), current BLS, and basic EMR and Microsoft Office skills. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

STACKABLE PAY INCENTIVES:

• Night Shift Differential: +$4.00/hour
• Weekend Differential: +$3.25/hour

LIMITED WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS:

• *Self-scheduled per 6 week plotter
• 0-4 years of RN Experience = 4 Weekend Shifts
• 4-10 years of RN Experience = 3 Weekend Shifts
• 10-15 years of RN Experience = 2 Weekend Shifts
• 15+ years of RN Experience = No weekend Shifts

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan)
• Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: BSN
• Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment
• Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
