Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

• Minimum of one year professional nursing experience preferred; physician practice experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
• Obtains and documents pertinent information during patient triage following established protocols.
• Follows treatment plan; administers and documents prescribed medications; ensures charges are captured accurately.
• Consults with providers to prevent/resolve problems; functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and providers.
• Educates patients about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Documents patient assessment; maintains patient confidentiality.
• Handles patient care related phone calls; performs other duties as assigned.

Southeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Southeast Georgia Physician Associates (SGPA) Hematology & Oncologyteam inBrunswick, GA. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient centered care using the nursing process across diverse patient populations while promoting a culture of safety, service, excellence, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
• Obtains and documents pertinent information during patient triage including following established protocols of the practice.
• Follows treatment plan as ordered by provider. Administers and documents prescribed medications. Ensures that all charges are captured accurately and completely.
• Consults with providers to prevent/resolve problems or concerns. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and providers.
• Educates patients about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Accurately documents patient assessment according to practice protocol. Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Appropriately handles patient care related phone calls.
• Successfully completes any other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of a Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing program

Experience

• Minimum of one year professional nursing experience preferred. Physician practice experience desired.

Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) within the first week of orientation (required and maintained)
