Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Rescue in Chicago, IL. This full-time night shift (7p-7a) is based in the Rescue department, at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, a historic Magnet-designated hospital in Lakeview.

The role emphasizes comprehensive patient care, evidence-based practice, and leadership to ensure patient safety and experience across the continuum. Two years’ ED/ICU RN experience is required, with BLS/ACLS and PALS within 3 months; CEN/CCRN preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS to be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years ED or ICU RN experience.
• CEN or CCRN preferred.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS
• PALS to be obtained within 3 months of hire
• Minimum 2 years ED or ICU RN experience required
• CEN or CCRN preferred

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
