Advocate Health's Surgical ICU in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a 20-bed SICU, providing comprehensive nursing care for diverse surgical and trauma patients. The role is full-time on a 7p-7:30a shift in Lakeview.

Expect collaboration within a Magnet-certified system emphasizing safe, high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will hold an accredited nursing program, an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and prefer 1 year of critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferably in Critical Care or one year nursing experience on surgical telemetry unit.

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Where You Will Work:

SICU is a 20-bed unit that provides nursing care to wide scope of surgical and trauma critical care patient population; including post cardiac surgical cases.

We’re Looking For:

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferably in Critical Care or one year nursing experience on surgical telemetry unit
