Job summary

Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island seeks a Registered Nurse to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement nursing interventions, and document care in the medical record within a multidisciplinary rehab program.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, coordination with therapists, and ensuring care plans reflect each patient’s goals and recovery progress. Rhode Island license and CPR/BCLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN, ADN, or Nursing Diploma program.
• Minimum six months Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Active Rhode Island RN license (single-state or compact) required; PSOR relocation must update license.
• CPR/BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred; CRRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

How you'll contribute

What we're looking for

• Education: Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
• Experience: Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• License: Active Rhode Island RN license (single-state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Certifications: CPR/BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred. CRRN preferred.
• Schedule: Registered Nurse PRN, including every other weekend and Holidays

Hourly range: $31.06-$54.47 per hour
