Job summary

Northeast Georgia Rehabilitation Institute is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time night shift. You will perform patient assessments, initiate nursing interventions, and document care with precision in the medical record.

You’ll contribute to interdisciplinary care planning and participate in quality improvement activities. Ideal candidates hold an active RN license (VA or compact where applicable) or be willing to update licensure; an Associate's degree is required and a Bachelor's

Qualifications

• Active RN license (VA single-state or compact)
• Relocation may require updating to new PSOR before employment begins
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• BLS certification required
• One year of experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

Northeast Georgia Rehabilitation Institute is a state-of-the‑art, 40‑bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital designed to support patients through recovery with advanced equipment and specialized care environments. Our collaborative, multidisciplinary team fosters a supportive culture focused on patient outcomes, professional growth, and work‑life balance.You'll work alongside experienced clinicians providing comprehensive rehabilitation services for patients recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, brain or spinal cord injuries, and other complex conditions.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.Additional requirements include:

• Associate's degree required - Bachelor's degree preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• One year of experience preferred
