Job description

We Are Hiring
  • Department: Staffing Resource Center - Regional Float Pool
  • Schedule: PRN Nights 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. with weekend and holiday commitment required
  • Hospital: Ascension Saint Alexius, Ascension Alexian Brothers, and Ascension Saint Joseph - Chicago
  • Location: Hoffman Estates, Elk Grove Village, and Chicago, IL
  • Salary: $55.00 per hour

This is a regional float position and you must commit to working at all 3 sites. You must also commit to working 6 shifts in 6 weeks (2 of them being weekend shifts, and 1 winter and 1 summer holiday)

What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Primarily floats to one or more specialty units as defined by market.

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Additional Preferences
  • Must have 1-2 years minimum RN experience in Labor and Delivery
  • BSN strongly preferred
  • Level 3 Perinatal L&D experience strongly preferred
  • BLS, NRP
  • ACLS preferred
  • Cerner and Epic experience
