RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Radiology Registered Nurse for RWJ Rahway Hospital in Rahway, NJ. The RN will deliver specialized nursing care in diagnostic and interventional radiology, assess and educate patients, and coordinate with physicians to ensure safe, efficient care.

The role requires 1–2 years of acute/critical care experience, a NJ RN license, and strong teamwork. It is a full-time, day-shift position with on-site work and EMR documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years acute care, critical care, emergency or procedural nursing experience.
• Active NJ RN license in good standing and BLS required.
• ACLS and IV certifications preferred.
• BSN strongly preferred and EMR experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing radiology procedures.

As a Radiology Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures
• Responsible for patient assessment, preparation, monitoring and education while ensuring patient safety, comfort and compliance with regulatory and clinical standards
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety
• Contributing your voice during interdisciplinary rounds, helping drive seamless communication and smooth transitions of care

To be considered for this Clinical Director opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing, a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate, an ACLS certification, and an IV certification. A bachelor’s degree in nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position is full-time on the day shift, 8am - 4:40pm. Working 40 hours weekly, with On Call responsibilities.
