Job summary

MedStar Franklin Square is seeking an Experienced Psychiatric Nurse to join the Psychiatric Crisis Unit. The 10-bed unit treats pediatric and adult patients and operates within the main medical ED.

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care, assess patient conditions, and develop care plans, coordinating with the nursing team to deliver interventions as needed.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing.
• 1+ years of RN experience required. For PRN roles, at least 2+ years of inpatient psychiatric experience strongly preferred. For the part-time role, at least 1+ years of inpatient psychiatric RN experience highly preferred.

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex.

Psych Crisis Stabilization Unit Highlights

10-bed busy specialized psychiatric emergency unit, located within the main medical ED

Treats pediatric and adult patients

Security has a strong partnership and presence with the unit and Baltimore County officer stationed with the Main ED

Staffed with psychiatric counselors and RNs

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team

Qualifications

This position has a hiring range of

USD $38.14 - USD $60.34 /Hr.
