Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Director of Nursing for Psychiatry to lead adult inpatient psychiatry, child/adolescent psychiatry, and the psychiatric emergency unit. You will manage nursing, patient care services, and safety culture within a division of nursing.

Director of Nursing, Psychiatry (Nurse Manager) Job Overview

The Nurse Manager (Director of Nursing) is a member of MedStar Healthentity-based Division of Nursing's (DON) leadership/management team and is responsible for the adult inpatient psychiatric unit, child and adolescent psychiatric unit and psychiatric ED unit of organized nursing and patient care services.

Qualifications

• BSN from a nationally accredited program required;Master's degree in Nursingor health related field from a nationally accredited program preferred.
• 4 years of RN experience required; 2 years of management and leadership experience preferred, particularly in an inpatient psychiatric environment; at least 2 years of psychiatric RN experience strongly preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross). PMH-BC strongly preferred.

This position has a hiring range of USD $56.89 - USD $95.36 /Hr.
