As a psychiatric nurse (RN PSYCH), you will work to improve or support the mental and physical well-being of people with mental health or behavioral conditions. You will care for patients with mental disorders, facilitating social and emotional treatments, supervising medication schedules, and evaluating progress. Working closely with a variety of interdisciplinary professionals, as well as patients' families, you will maintain a supportive and safe environment through the use of monitoring devices and de-escalation techniques.
