Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse and RN Fellow to join the Progressive Care teams.0 Full-time Day or Night shifts available, with weekend variations. Sign-on and relocation assistance are offered for eligible nurses.

The PCU units provide neurological and cardiac telemetry care, with a 52-bed PCU and 40-bed Cardiac Telemetry PCU. Applicants must have a BSN, 1 year RN experience, Virginia RN license or eNLC, and BLS certification on start.

Competenze

• BSN from an accredited nursing program; ADN must complete BSN within 5 years.
• 1+ year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Virginia RN license or eNLC compact to practice.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from AHA.

Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse's and Registered Nurse Fellows to join the Progressive Care teams. This is for Full-time Day Shift 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. or Full-time Night Shift 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. | Monday - Friday (including some weekend shifts) Sign-on & Relocation Assistance Available for Eligible Nurses.

Applicants may be considered for current and future opportunities. Positions available for various shifts for Progressive Care Unit (Neuro with some Cardiac), and Cardiac Telemetry Progressive Care Unit (All Cardiac).

Shifts: All (Full-time Day shift, Full-time Night shift)

Specialty Areas: Inpatient Progressive Care Units only

Progressive Care Unit:
Inova Alexandria's Hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is an adult 52-bed Neurological/Cardiac Telemetry Unit. Nursing care is provided to medical, neurologic (Acute Stroke, Rule out Stroke, TIA) in all phases of their disease process including initial diagnosis, treatment, and discharge. Each room is equipped with oxygen outlets, compressed air outlets and vacuum outlets.

Cardiac Tele Progressive Care Unit:
Inova Alexandria's Hospital Cardiac Telemetry Progressive Care Unit is a 40-bed cardiac acute care unit with the capacity of providing 24-hour telemetry monitoring. The population not only includes patients with cardiac disorders, and other complex diagnoses that require monitoring. The top DRGS: CHF, chest pain, stable cardiac arrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, uterine procedures, ureteral surgeries, major small/large bowel obstructions, post craniotomy patient and spinal surgeries transfers from ICU. Nurses are trained to be able to manage patients on high flow oxygen and BIPAP.

Registered Nurse and Registered Nurse Fellow (RN) Progressive Care Job Responsibilities:

• The RN and RN Fellow achieves desired patient outcomes and enhances the patient experience by using a focused and integrated approach of care delivery.
• Practices in assigned patient care delivery settings and meets program objectives while utilizing and applying new knowledge.
• Meets educational goals under the direct supervision of an experienced RN and through various training formats.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an associate's degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Experience: Requires a minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse experience.
• Certification:Currently licensedas a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Progressive Care, Intermediate Care, Intensive Care, Neuro and Cardiac Telemetry strongly preferred for RN roles.
• Open to acute care inpatient Med Surg experience for PCU RN Fellow roles.
