Job summary

Health Here's Progressive Care Unit (PCU) seeks a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care, assess and implement individualized care plans for assigned patients within a fast-paced PCU setting.

The RN will collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver safe, high-quality care, supervise staff, administer medications, and support emergency procedures while adhering to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; acute care preferred.
• Current licensure and certifications, including BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver nursing care meeting standards.
• Supervise clinical staff for proper delegation and competency.
• Administer medications safely and timely per policies.
• Support emergency procedures and respond to codes.
• Assist CNO in maintaining care standards and resource management.

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides direct clinical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing individualized care for assigned patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, safe, and cost-effective nursing care in accordance with established standards.
• Supervise clinical staff to ensure appropriate care delegation and competency.
• Administer medications safely and timely, following hospital policies.
• Support hospital emergency procedures, knowing emergency codes and responding appropriately.
• Support the Chief Nursing Officer in maintaining high standards of care, staff competency, and resource management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; recent acute care experience preferred.
• Current licensure and certifications, including AHA BLS; ACLS, PALS, or NRP as applicable.

Additional Duties

Performs all hospital incident command system roles during emergencies, ensuring safety and compliance at all times.
