Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Progressive Care at Harris Regional Hospital in North Carolina. This full-time night shift (7p–7a) role includes a 12-bed unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and a $10,000 sign-on for new grads or $20,000 for night-experienced RNs with a two-year commitment.

The position emphasizes critical patient assessments, nursing interventions, accurate documentation, and participation in interdisciplinary care planning.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or compact RN license required.
• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days.
• AHA ACLS and PALS required within six months.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Night shift requires strong patient monitoring and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

Join our team in a 12-bed Progressive Care Unit/Telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. We are staffed with RNs, CNAs, and Telemetry Techs, providing specialized care for patients primarily diagnosed with respiratory failure and cardiac conditions. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing advanced monitoring technology to deliver high-quality patient care and ensure optimal outcomes for our diverse patient population.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role:

What we're looking for

• Licenses: Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Associate's degree required, BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
