Job description

Come join the Surgical Trauma ICU (STICU) at Inova Loudoun Hospital! We are seeking an experienced ICU RN for our PRN opening.

Schedule: Day Shift. Must be available various shifts/times during orientation.

Inova Loudoun Hospital is a growing 211-bed nationally recognized acute-care community hospital with a rich history of proudly serving our growing and diverse community since 1912. We provide compassionate and comprehensive care for the entire family.

Our Surgical Trauma ICU unit is an 12-bed unit on the second floor with close proximity to the OR. We care for critically ill surgical and trauma patients, including neurosurgery, vascular surgery, general surgery patients, along with post-procedural patients. We also care for Intermediate Care level surgical and trauma patients as well.

Patient to Nurse Ratio:2:1 (ICU patients) and 3:1 (IMC patients) in the STICU.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.
• Certifications: BLS for healthcare provider certification from AHA required. ACLS (must obtain within 6 months of hire).
• Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
• Education:BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
  If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN)- must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of ICU RN experience.
• Must be available various shifts/times during orientation.
