Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver, direct and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit. Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the RN applies the nursing process and coordinates interdisciplinary care, including discharge planning and family teaching.

Required: active RN license in the state or compact state, BLS; ACLS within 90 days; ACLS needed for Charge Nurses.

Qualifications

• Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise care to patients; utilize the nursing process.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including discharge planning and family teaching for post-hospitalization.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
