Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington in Florida seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit, using the nursing process, and coordinate discharge planning with families and community resources.

Under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the RN may serve as Charge Nurse; ACLS and BLS are required within probation, and one year of inpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN).
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment; ACLS must be AHA approved within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and supervise patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning with patients and families.
• May perform Charge Nurse duties (ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses).

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
