Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and coordinate patient care on the medical-surgical unit. You will supervise care under the direction of leadership, participate in discharge planning, and teach patients and families about recovery and post-hospitalization needs.

Requirements include active RN licensure in the practicing state, BLS certification, and ACLS certification (or within 90 days).

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of Nursing leadership, the RN delivers, directs and supervises care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Plans, coordinates, and provides patient care including interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• May perform other related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities (ACLS certification required).

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
