PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver, direct and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit under the direction of the CNO/DON and Charge Nurse. You will coordinate interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching, and access to community resources.

ACLS and BLS are required (ACLS within 90 days for most roles; Charge Nurses require ACLS). Texas RN license or compact license is required.

Competenze

• Current RN license in TX or compact state; BLS required; ACLS required within 90 days.
• ACLS certification for Charge Nurses.
• 1 year inpatient med-surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
