Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on the unit. The role requires coordinating care across disciplines, discharge planning, and patient/family teaching for post-hospitalization, with ACLS for Charge Nurse duties.

Education includes active RN licensure and current BLS; ACLS within 90 days. Inpatient medical-surgical experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in the state of practice or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• One year inpatient medical-surgical experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct, and supervise patient care using the nursing process.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including discharge planning.
• Perform interdisciplinary planning and patient/family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Access community resources as needed.
• May perform Charge Nurse duties; ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
