Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care on the medical-surgical unit using the nursing process. The RN will plan, coordinate, and supervise care for patients and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Under nursing leadership, responsibilities include discharge planning, patient and family teaching, and linking patients to community resources. ACLS certification may be required for Charge Nurse duties.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state where the hospital resides or compact licensure
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment
• ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise patient care using the nursing process.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization and access community resources.
• Charge Nurse duties may be performed; ACLS certification required for those duties.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
