Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Tulsa is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise patient care on the nursing unit. The RN will coordinate interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and patient/family teaching for post-hospitalization and community resource access.

Requires state or compact RN licensure, current BLS, and ACLS certification within 90 days. ACLS is required for Charge Nurses; one year of inpatient med-surg experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license in the state or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment; ACLS must be AHA approved.
• One year inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct and supervise patient care.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families for post-hospitalization and access community resources.
• May perform Charge Nurse duties; ACLS certification required for that role.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
