Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington in Chesterfield, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit under the direction of nursing leadership. The RN plans, coordinates, and provides patient care, including discharge planning and teaching for post-hospitalization.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, BLS, ACLS within 90 days, and has inpatient med-surg experience. ACLS is required for Charge Nurses.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where the hospital resides or compact license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment; for Charge Nurses this is required.
• 1 year inpatient medical-surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, direct and supervise care to patients on the nursing unit.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning.
• Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization and community resources.
• Assist with Charge Nurse duties when requested (ACLS required).

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
