Job summary

Southeast Behavioral Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to coordinate and evaluate patient care within a collaborative health team. You will apply the nursing process and standards of care to support children, teens and adults requiring behavioral health services.

Role emphasizes teamwork, crisis de‑escalation, and documentation accuracy. The facility offers inpatient and outpatient services and PRN weekend/holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• CPR certification and appropriate restraint training are required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; Missouri RN license required to practice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate patient care through the nursing process with the health care team.

• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare patients for discharge as needed.

Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

The RN is a registered professional nurse who coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
• Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint within 30 days of employment. Successful completion of Handle with Care training and Service Excellence Training within 90 days of employment. Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation.
