Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse for Southeast Behavioral Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. The RN coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaboration with health team members, following the nursing process and established standards of care.

Qualified candidates will have a Missouri nursing license, CPR certification, and may have a BSN. Two years of psychiatric healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
• Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in Seclusion and Restraint within 30 days; Handle with Care and Service Excellence Training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with the health team.
• Adhere to the standards of care and practices in a psychiatric setting.
• Maintain licensure and complete mandatory trainings as required.

Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
• Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint within 30 days of employment. Successful completion of Handle with Care training and Service Excellence Training within 90 days of employment. Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation.
