Atlantic Specialty Care in Atlantic, IA, a 90-bed long-term care skilled nursing community, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for PRN shifts to support residents and our care team.

Join Care Initiatives as part of a dedicated nursing family to provide direct care, administer medications, monitor residents, document precisely, and coordinate with CNAs, LPNs, and the care team while upholding infection control and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in good standing in Iowa.
• Current, valid CPR Certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
• Empathy, respect, patience, and discretion in care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNA, LPN, provider, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols at all times.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.

Qualifications
