Job Overview:

Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients following facility policies, standards, and philosophy, emphasizing Patient Centered Care. At least 1 year of hospital-based surgery circulator experience required.

General Responsibilities:

• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team
• RNs with at least 1 year acute care experience interested in OR training
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards
• Requires communication, interpersonal, basic computer, and customer service skills
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• Current American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS certification
• Active Florida or Compact Nursing License
• Prefer 1 year full-time or 3 years part-time acute care experience
• Additional certifications at start date or transfer include:
• All units (except nursery): ACLS (new grads within 90 days)
• Women’s Center: NRP (inexperienced L&D nurses within 90 days)
• ICU/PCU: NIH within 90 days or before orientation completion
• ER: PALS, CPI within 90 days; NIH within 90 days or before orientation
• PACU: PALS at start date (inexperienced nurses within 90 days)
