Job summary

UT Health Tyler is seeking an Evening shift, full-time Post-Operative Registered Nurse (RN) in Tyler, TX. The role involves applying nursing processes to deliver patient care and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team in an acute care setting.

Qualified candidates will hold an ADN, Texas RN license, and BLS; ACLS and PALS within specified timelines, with experience in ventilator management and critical care. Preference given to PACU/ICU/ER experience.

Qualifications

• ADN required; Texas RN license current.
• BLS within 14 days of hire or transfer; ACLS and PALS within 90 days.
• Experience with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care medications; airway management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct patient care using the nursing process for a group of patients.
• Deliver care for a designated time frame as an RN.
• Maintain knowledge of ASPAN Standards.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patient care for a group of patients for a designated time frame.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Must maintain current Texas RN License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• ACLS
• PALS (within 90 days of hire)
• Competence in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care medications that may or may not need to be titrated
• Thorough knowledge of airway management and rescue methods
• Pediatric/Adult Phase 1 and Phase 2
• Maintain knowledge of ASPAN Standards

Preferred Job Requirements

• PACU, ICU, ER, or other acceptable acute care experience
